Devyn was raised in the village of Warrens, Wisconsin where she resided on her family’s cranberry marsh. She is the oldest of four children- a brother and two sisters. Upon high school graduation, she went on to earn her bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse. Devyn currently resides in Madison, Wisconsin where she works full-time as a human resources generalist for Exact Sciences. Additionally, Devyn is a part-time graduate student at the University of Wisconsin- Whitewater in hopes of earning a Master of Business Administration.
Devyn stays engaged in the community through various avenues. In July of 2009, Devyn lost her mother to domestic violence. She was the co-founder and committee member of the Remembering Teresa Organization in memory of her mother, where she helped raise thousands of dollars for victims of domestic violence over the last 10 years. Devyn also has a passion for promoting organ and tissue donation. In August of 2015, Devyn made the decision to become a non-directed living kidney donor to honor her mother’s life by giving life to someone else. As Miss Wisconsin for America, Devyn enjoys giving back and stays actively involved as an End Domestic Abuse WI volunteer, Wisconsin Department of Justice survivor speaker, National Kidney Registry, American Hero award recipient honorably received at "Season of Miracles Gala", Georgetown University research on altruism study participant, and UW Organ and Tissue Donation volunteer.
In her free time, she enjoys exercise, bargain shopping, traveling, and spending quality time with family members.
